Alexa+ Can Work with Prime Video and Fire Tv to 'Jump to a Scene' In a Movie
As part of the new Alexa+ experience Amazon introduced on Wednesday, the smart assistant will gain the ability to navigate through movies on Prime Video. Thanks to integrations between Alexa, Prime Video, and Fire TV, Alexa+, as the upgraded assistant is called, will be able to “jump to a scene” in a movie without you needing to fast-forward through the video. The company demonstrated the new feature at a press event in New York, where Alexa+ was asked a question about a movie where Bradley Cooper sang a song.
- This upgrade marks a significant step forward for voice assistants like Alexa, enabling users to enjoy a more immersive entertainment experience and further blurring the lines between smart home automation and media consumption.
- As more devices become integrated with voice assistants, how will this impact our personal data and the advertising industry's ability to target tailored content to consumers?
